About Hora Jerusalem
"hora Jerusalem" is the Jerusalem Municipality’s representative dance ensemble, under the artistic direction of Shai Gottesman.
"hora Jerusalem" Presents a repertoire of great variety. This includes Israeli and international folk dances created specially for the troupe over the 50 years of its existence by the best of Israel’s choreographers, as well as world contemporary and Israeli modern dances, based on Shai Gottesman artistic conception. This combination of older and modern dances, makes for an exciting and stimulating performance.
The dancers are from Jerusalem, most of them are students from the “Rubin” Academy of dance and the dance departments of other Jerusalem high schools. In addition to approximately 30 dancers.
Hora Jerusalem Bands
Hora Jerusalem Bands are the representative bands of Jerusalem that operate within the framework of the Hora Jerusalem Association - a municipal association for dance and singing, which operates as a non-profit organization under the Arts Division of the Jerusalem Municipality and under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
Dedicated program for training children
Hora Jerusalem has a dedicated program for training children from the age of 4 to dance, based on decades of experience in training many generations of dancers, many of whom continued their professional dance careers into adulthood.
The best teachers
Hora Jerusalem bands perform at various events and ceremonies in Israel and abroad. Most of these are official and state events with a representative value. We have the best teachers, most of them graduates of the Hora Jerusalem, who bring with them, in addition to their high professional ability, a value-based educational vision, since the path is no less important to us than the goals.
Acquisition of basic tools by age
This track takes into account the mental and physical abilities that characterize the different ages, and on this basis the track poses challenges appropriate to the same stages of development, in order to enable achievements and successes together, while maintaining the child's body and mind throughout.
